One of my sons wants an arcade machine and he likes the TAITO cabinet design. As much as possible we matched all the parts of the original and are using all the old hardware that held the donor cab I had together. Since we’re all Oklahoma State University grads, we went with a OSU Cowboy theme:

The cabinet is 24.5″ wide, 67″ high, and 30″ deep. We’re a Raspberry Pi 5 for the computer power, an 8-way joystick, 6 buttons for game control and 4 buttons for coin, player select, and admin functions, and a spinner. An external USB port will allow multi-player use.
Components:
- Powered by Raspberry Pi 5, 2.4Ghz 64-bit quad-core CPU, 8GB RAM, 128GB EVO+ Micro SD Card, Black case w/ fan and heat sink
- Ultimarc I-PAC2, 32 inputs plus trackball and spinner to USB
- Suzo Happ Concave Pushbuttons in Orange
- Ultimarc J-Stik 4/8-way Joystick w/ a modified Atari stick
- Ultimarc SpinTrak Spinner, w/ Black/Silver Knob and Small Fly-Weight
- Suzo Happ 110W Power Supply
- plugged into 120VAC coming into the cab through a IEC C14 Jack, through an AGC/MDL Fuse Holder, and a SPST Illuminated Rocker Switch, and then into (2) two Orange Isolated Ground Duplex Outlets with matte black metal cover plates
- Cabinet Mount Dual USB 3.0 Port
- (2) LED Light Strips for Marquee light
- Vinyl for the Marquee is Oracle 8800 Translucent Backlit Sign Vinyl
- Plexi for the Marquee is from Fab Glass and Mirror
- And T-Molding (from T-molding.com)
- The audio output from the computer will go through a Stereo to Mono Converter
- Then through a 50K Logarithmic Taper Rotary Potentiometer for volume control with a KAISH knob
- Then to a KEMO 40W Audio Power Amplifier, mounted on a Heat Sink
- Then to the original 5″ paper cone speaker wired in parallel with an 8 ohm Wirewound Resistor to create a 4 ohm load on the amplifier
- Video will be displayed on an LG 24″ IPS Display
- 18AWG Barrel Plug Connectors (for 12VDC and 5VDC power)
- We like solid core Birch Plywood (0.6875″, called 3/4″,for this one)
- Which we cut on a 4×8 bed ShopSABRE PRO 408 CNC Router
- Underneath are Leveler Feet and 3″ Rubber Caster Wheels
- Plus Handholds at the back top and the front underneath
- Side and front panel graphics and CP overlay printing is by our friend Scott at Game On Grafix
- Glass for the display comes from One Day Glass (Light Grey, Tempered, 0.25″ glass)
- We reused all the original TAITO hardware: cabinet structural brackets, pedestal corner protectors, vent and speaker screens, glass retainer, marquee retainer, and cam lock. We added a louvered vent on top.
- The coin door came from another cab and was stripped, powder coated, and rewired.
