(P) Making The Cut

We have progressed beyond design and acquisition of parts to building! The wood parts for the cabinet are cut. My son used Solidworks to design and draw all the individual parts and assemble them into a model to check fit and interference, then output the wood pieces to tool paths for our CNC router table. We procured 3/4″ cabinet grade birch plywood and started cutting.

There are several pieces that are just plain rectangles which we cut using a table saw and a couple edges that needed to be cut at an angle, also on a table saw. Overall, this is an awesome way to cut complex parts and have them turn out exact.
